Blogger Help for a Friend
My blogger buddy Erica is having some major issues with her blog since switching to "beta blogger." The problem is that her page will load, but people with Firefox or the new IE can't scroll the page at all. I have a feeling it may be a problem with her layout/template, but don't know enough about the code to know what might be wrong. If anyone out there has any ideas stop by her blog (http://ericasherman.blogspot.com/ ) and let her know.

Greetings! I followed your link home from Michele's, and I'm so glad I did.
I have resisted moving my blog over for precisely the reasons outlined here: everyone I know who has tried to "upgrade" from regular Blogger to Beta Blogger has run into a range of fairly significant tech issues.
Hopefully they will soon work through them. I will drop by and see if any tech stuff jumps out at me.

Well, thankfully, I haven't had any major issues with the beta yet (knock wood!). Though I did have some problems customizing my template.. something easy as putting up my logo and wallpaper took me ages to work out.. not exactly user friendly.. especially if you don't know the ins and outs of HTML/CSS coding (or don't have the desire to!).

Thanks for the advice. I'm afraid I have no other alternative but to either replace my template or fix the individual problems which a friend of mine outlined for me with his HTML editor.
Unfortunately, I don't know where to start. It's such a daunting project, as at least one or both of you could attest.

found your site through another one.
i changed my template to beta about 2 months back. while it is somewhat buggy, i have found you can do more easily through the new configuration. it is way more complicated if you don't know xhtml and css though. there are a few websites for hacks out there i know of which helped me in the end. [if you want, your friend can email for the sites; i have a small list.]
part of it also depends on the template you are using. they all seem to be a bit different. very confusing. hairpulling, in fact. :(
